I can't do anything with the Bitpim source on either windows or Mac OS X. I think I have everything installed, but there are several versions of Python, and Bitpim depends on many other pieces, and I can't find a list of exactly which pieces (versions, etc.) are needed. I'm not sure if I need Python 2.3 or if 2.4 will work. And sometimes there are lots of install options - on Mac OS X, I have fink which has its own Python install in a different place from the system.

Could someone who happens to have a working set of these things installed post a list (or to the FAQ) of all the pieces including exactly which versions are needed for Windows, Mac OS X, or even Linux (I haven't bothered trying this yet since I will probably get several of the wrong version, have them install in the wrong places, or something else).
