The octane may be using the LG embedded database management system (LGeDBMS) like the LG lotus (and who knows what else). It looks pretty complex, I poked at it a bit but never got anywhere with it.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

like the Cosmos touch (same generation). This phone is the first LG CDMA phone
I have encountered that doesn&#39;t use files in /pim to store phonebook data.
There is a basic phonebook protocol using f1 commands but I haven&#39;t figured
out a way to use it to modify group/ringer id/photo id information. If I have
some time this week I will take another look.</div>
