I have a VX-8100 phone. When I try to read SMS messages, it fails (the exception is at the bottom of this email) I have some messages locked, some messages with "graphics" in them, and I also have picture messages. I dont know if that helps at all, but I would guess it is getting stuck when trying to read the picture messages?

Thanks for your help,
Here is the exception from trying to read SMS:

ok. i cleared all my txts (inbox, sent, draft) and then sent 1 plain txt. Then brought that into BitPim.
That worked ok. Next i sent a picture message, and then Replaced All into BitPim It didnt import the picture message, but it also didnt cause any errors. Then I sent a Graphics message, and that again worked. It was broought into BitPim but didnt show the graphic, just showed a blank message...but no errors. Then I tried sending a long (+160 characters) away message, and that worked ok. So in conclusion, after clearing all of my txt msgs, and then sending more, everything seems to be working correctly now. I am going to try again after I fill up my outbox and inbox and see what happens.

You did not save the message that caused the problem by any chance did you.
I suspect that there are some message types that do not fit the model in the
bitpim code, I would be very interested in seeing them so that I can add
them into bitpim.
If you do have this happen again could you go into the file system and save
the outbox and inbox .dat files and send them to me (privately) so I can see
what is different about them.

thanks,

Simon
