[BitPim-devel] LG8300 Connection Issue with Windows - not recognized

Hello All!

My wife received an LG8300 from a friend. The 8300 came with a USB data
cable, but when I plug the phone to the cable and the cable to the USB port
on my Windows box, the phone just charges, and does not get recognized by
the OS.

I have a similar cable that works fine with my LG8500 on the same PC, and
then works fine with BitPim (which is my goal - to use BitPim with the
LG8300 for my wife's purposes).

Can anyone shed some light on this problem for me?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hi!-

I'm trying to learn about mobile programming embedded devices & firmware. I
have a Verizon LG vx-6100 as my test bed, USB cable and the BitPim code.
Anyone know how I can use BitPim to extract the firmware from the phone or
where to download it? For that matter.
