The vcard file did take some massaging as there seem to be some
variations in the implementation of the standard.
Can you post these variations. Maybe we can accommodate these
directly in the vCard import/export process to support this phone.

The phone silently dropped phone numbers that were speed dials. The speed
dial numbers have "phone." in front of the TEL. Fortunately, I was
transferring from a Samsung where every contact was a speed dial, so it was
obvious I was loosing numbers.

Here is a Full vcard 3.0 from BitPim.

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
FN:BitPim User
N:User;BitPim;;;
ADR;TYPE=WORK,PREF:;;111 BitPim Lane;BitPimsville;BP;12345;
phone.TEL;TYPE=WORK,PREF:(111) 222-4444
phone.X-SPEEDDIAL:9
TEL;TYPE=HOME:(111) 222-5555
TEL;TYPE=CELL:(111) 222-6666
CATEGORIES:Software
EMAIL;TYPE=PREF,INTERNET:***@bitpim.org
URL;TYPE=PREF:http://www.bitpim.org/
END:VCARD

Sent to the SCP-6600, it got the contact without the work number. Reading
back the contact, it came out as:

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
PRODID:SANYO
REV:20061011T002655Z
UID:176
N:User;BitPim;;;
FN:BitPim User
X-GNO:00
CLASS:PUBLIC
TEL;TYPE=HOME:1112225555
TEL;TYPE=PREF,CELL:1112226666
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET:***@bitpim.org
URL:http://www.bitpim.org/
ADR;TYPE=HOME:;111 BitPim Lane;BitPimsville;BP;12345
END:VCARD

I then edited the contact on the phone to be as intended. Restoring the
lost phone number, setting the group and speed dial. The contact then read
back from the phone as:
BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
PRODID:SANYO
REV:20061011T003110Z
UID:176
N:User;BitPim;;;
FN:BitPim User
X-GNO:07
X-GN:Software
CLASS:PUBLIC
TEL;TYPE=HOME:1112225555
TEL;TYPE=PREF,CELL:1112226666
TEL;TYPE=WORK:1112224444
EMAIL;TYPE=INTERNET:***@bitpim.org
URL:http://www.bitpim.org/
ADR;TYPE=HOME:;111 BitPim Lane;BitPimsville;BP;12345
END:VCARD

So the SCP-6600 does not put speed dial numbers in the vcards it sends, and
uses different tags for groups.

I thought I had to mess around with either the N or FN tag, but I didn't for
this hand made contact. Maybe it was an issue with contacts that came from
my old Samsung phone. I'll check on that.
