What does it take for a phone to get moved off of the debug list and
supported in the released versions?

Any particular model you have in mind?

Phil:

The author of the code has not been available to do any work on it. We could
probably move it off the debug list, but it would only support reading the
phonebook. There does does appear to be code to write to the phonebook, but
it is disabled, so I don't know if it has been adequately tested. Are you
willing to take over support for the LGPM325? I think that would entail
making writing to the phonebook work (Maybe it does?) and fielding bug
reports.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get python installed on my PC so I
can't run BitPimin debug mode. That's the reason I am wondering what it
takes to get the phone in the releases. For now I guess it will take
patience.

Thanks,

It is at the discretion of the developer who wrote/maintains the
code.

I'm willing to test, review code, or write small chunks of code as
needed for this phone.

Just let me know.

The bad news is that I have been unavailable to work on this for over a
month now. Most of the code is in place to write to the phonebook, but I
have not had a chance to test it properly.
The good news is that I will be working on it as soon as I finish going
through my e-mails. Look forward to some progress over the next couple of
days.
