I agree with Phil. I do not want to release "Writing" of the phonebook
until we have finished further testing. I will work on it this weekend. If
anyone want's to test and give me feedback before then, I would appreciate
it.
The only problem that I have personally encountered was that occasionally
the phone needed to be power cycled after writing the phonebook. For some
reason, the records would not display correctly until after the reboot.
As far as backing up the phone before testing, I would recommend backing up
the entire filesystem so that it can be restored if there is a problem
writing the phonebook.

Brent Roettger

Based on my experience I would not do that. Using the latest developer code
my phonebook was corruputed when using the PM-325 with BitPim. I think we
still need to do some work on it. I'm willing to be a guinea pig but I'm not
much of a developer.

Brent:
I have moved the LG-PM325 from the debug phone list to the supported list in
guiwidgets.py so that it will get included in the next release. Right now,
phonebook reading and writing are included, but we can take out the writing
before the build if you feel it is not ready.

I would say that the phonebook reading is ready to go. There are a couple
of flags that I have not figured out, but 99% of the data is figured out.
Phonebook writing is working fine on my phone. In the past, one person
reported problems with writing to their phone. I never did receive the
details and have not made any changes. I would like to have more testing
done on this before making it available in the offical release.
No other support is complete at this time.

What capabilities (phone book read, write, calendar, ...) would you feel
comfortable including in the next official release?

Hey Everyone,
I am the original developer of the PM325 code. I got it working for my
needs and asked for testing help and feedback. After receiving nothing, I
stopped working on the code.
If you have feedbackor can point out any of the bugs, I would be more then
willing to resume working on and updating the code. Of course, any coding
help is also appreciated! :)
