I just tried uploading my calendar to my Samsung SCH-u740 (using the
A950 profile) using the build at the link below and I still get the
1 hour offset in my appointments.
Not sure about the u740, but I just tested with an A930 (with various
Timezones and DST on/off) and it worked fine.

I just got all the things installed to do some mucking with the Python
code. I've looked through the code a little, but haven't figured out
where to subtract an hour from my calendar entries. I'd appreciate any
pointers you can offer. Initially I'm not looking for the perfect fix,
just some workaround that will get me past my current problem. Of
course if I could add a fix just for the u740, that would be ideal. I
imagine I could copy the a950 stuff in the phones subdirectory into a
u740.py file?

Maybe I should move over to the developer list? I haven't seen much on
that one though.

Thanks,
-Ron

Not that I am suggesting that BitPim is bug-free, but we ARE approaching
1.0.0 now. :)

Ron, if were in your shoes, I'd go through the a950 code since it
appears to be a model-specific issue. One off errors are very common in
array and time codes and are a huge bear to track down since the program
usually works, it just gives a whacky output. It may be a subtle
difference between the two models or a bug - er "feature" of the u740.
If that is the case, and it is the only difference between the a950 you
may only want to add a "if(u740){ time--}" or something. If there are
other more fundamental differences, you may want create a new py file.
See the LG VX8300/5300 saga that occurred a few months ago for
historical perspective.

If I get some time in the next few days, I'll help out and see if there
is anything that jumps out to me. In the meantime, happy hunting!
