getting around the infamous 8100 Version7 ringtone problem.
If it works as advertised, it's a good find! Will put it in a test load and let you check it out thoroughly before releasing it.

Sounds great, I'd be happy to test it out. I'm getting some positive
feedback on howardforums.com from vx8100 V7 users who have already used the
procedure successfully. Maybe I'm wrong, but the GUI's on these phones are
so similar now...I'm guessing that Verizon uses the same code to compile the
assembly language for all of its LG
phones<http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=931307#>.
So, unless there's been a very major chipset change in the 8300 and 9800,
then they probably execute the same instructions and could also benefit from
this exploit. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that test load.
