I re-applied that change and others to accommodate the move to the phones package. btw, did you update/change makedist? I was trying to do a test build and then realized it was gone.

btw, did you update/change makedist?

Yes. There is a new subproject named buildrelease. I want to
make buildrelease be generic and able to do the equivalent of
what makedist did for any Python based project. The plan is
for it to interrogate version.py for all project specific
information. I should have kept the icons etc in the bitpim
directory and not moved them into buildrelease.

I have used svn:externals to make the buildrelease tree reappear
in a bitpim checkout. The idea is that other projects could
easily do the same.
