Version 0.6 of BitPim is now available. The announcement and downloads are
available at http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/#status

The changes over version 0.53 include:

- Automatic com port detection
- Com port browser for those configuring manually
- Files larger than 64Kb can be worked with in the filesystem view
- Comprehensive help is included (also available online)
- Backup and restore now available in the filesystem view
- Manipulation of the calendar
- Brew Compressed Images (BCI) are correctly handled in wallpaper view
- Many bug fixes and minor improvements

Do you have any idea when cut & paste and other spreadsheet editing
functions will be available?

Never! One of the first things going into 0.7 is a replacement for
the whole phonebook view.
