When I got to http://www.bitpim.org/testhelp/, I don't get the navigation
menu on the left. This is the case for Firefox 1.5 on Linux or Windows and
for internet explorer. It is not obvious to me why it doesn't work. I can
retrieve navtree.html, dtree.css, dtree.js and bitpimhelp.js. I do note
that bitpimhelp.js under /testhelp is different from the one under /help.

Speaking, of http://www.bitpim.org/help, should we retire it and move the
help for the current verstion there?

That has been on the books for a while. The ids and things
also need to be fixed - they are currently hard coded in
the source files and have to be in numeric order.

The fix is to postprocess the .htb file. I'll have a
look into it as I have the rest of the week of. For
the curious, the steps are listed at

My bad. One of the new page titles has the ' char in it, which screws up the js script. Roger, I'd suggest just updating the navtree.html file on the site, and fix the source problem in the next release. How would you want to handle this?

I've fixed it for the site. I'm busy working on a script that
takes the .htb file and makes the web equivalent. That will
remove all the ids etc from the source.

What would be really useful is if someone can figure out
mod_rewrite rules. The idea is that the help gets moved
to the /help path, and then mod_rewrite is used to direct
pages from /testhelp/foo.htm to /help/foo.htm.

I am also very tempted to see if I can make the web version
use .html instead as .htm really bugs me :-)
